The beauty community supports each other, and this year has shown the dedication of many brands to the development of Black Lives Matter. We have created an exclusive list of brands who dedicate their proceeds, and products to eradicating racism and developing our social standards. On top of their strong social justice ties, they provide products that never disappoint!

Starting off our list is Glossier, the brand has donated a record amount of five-hundred thousand dollars to Black Lives Matter and organizations alike that support these developments. They choose a new focus each year, and donate a high amount of their proceeds. With beautiful and luxurious products the brand never disappoints us! We get uniquely soft shades that add to the natural beauty of every skin tone, and create a soft glow on complexions.

A smaller brand that has begun to gain momentum in 2021 is Ilia. They are a makeup and skincare brand that focus on clean beauty, while providing products with healthy skincare ingredients. Each product is created to shield from environmental stressors and have SPF. This brand has donated over $50,000 across multiple organizations this year already, including Black Lives Matter and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

Honest Beauty is a well known brand because Jessica Alba started it, and because they only use clean ingredients. This year they plan to donate $100,000 to organizations fighting racial injustice, such as the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the Equal Justice Initiative. The brand will also match all employee donations made toward civil rights organizations. Their product lines include large color variation, and average pricing which creates one of the best beauty product lines out there.

There are a few brands that have been around and evolved and Kiehls is an original. Not only have they developed socially as a brand, but they consistently create useful products with low ingredient lists. The brand has taken the step to donate to NAACP and be an example for their community. Additionally they pledged one-hundred thousand dollars to the LGBTQ+ community to help develop awareness. This brand is taking the extra step to not only provide exceptional products, but to also advocate for social justice.

Anastasia Beverly Hills has taken a large step to commit one-hundred thousand dollars to several organizations like Black Lives Matter, The Innocence Project, The NAACP Legal Defense, and The Marshall Project. They created a social media pledge to develop as a company that not only donates but makes conscience changes within the brand to promote equality. This brand is a staple for many avid makeup artists because of their long wear formulas, and long lasting products. Their shadow palettes create new color combinations every year, and use a unique buttery solution that lasts all day.

Herbivore Botanicals is not far behind by donating forty-six thousand dollars to the ACLU, Black Lives Matter, and the Minnesota Freedom Fund. Every product from the brand is clean beauty and uses: Natural ingredients, plant-based food-grade cold-pressed oils, steam distilled therapeutic-grade essential oils, GMO free soy wax, recyclable and reusable packaging, and many certified organic ingredients. They want skincare to be enjoyable and indulgent with tangible results through nature.

We are here for these brands and the many others who are supporting our African American Community and the BLM movement. They are fighting with you everyday for social justice and equality through donations and cultivating their brands to exemplify these qualities. Each purchase helps support these
